The new Ready, Set, Teach program is made up of ten FHS students that aspire to be educators. These ten students get a first-hand look at what teaching in a classroom is like by essentially acting as “student teachers.”

Yesterday the Tiger Cross Country teams ran in the District 2-6A cross country meet. The Varsity boys won fourth overall and are sending two runners to the Regional meet and the Varsity girls won second overall, with a first-place runner, and two advancing to Regionals.

The Frenship Tigers had another stellar season in 2019-2020 going 30-6 and advancing to the Regional Tournament in Fort Worth for the second season in three years. Under seventh-year Head Coach Trent Hilliard the Tigers have enjoyed consistent and record-breaking success.

Head Coach Jay Northcutt often mentions how difficult District 2-6A is, and with the Little Southwest Conference back together the meat grinder is certainly in full effect

Frenship Volleyball (11-1, 6-0) continued an impressive run through District 2-6A with a Homecoming victory over San Angelo Central (5-7, 3-4) 3-0 in the Tiger Pit last Friday evening. The Tigers, who have now swept seven of their 12 opponents this season, earned their fourth district sweep with a 25-9, 25-13, 25-19 win over the Lady Bobcats.

Last week the FHS marching band competed in the Region 16 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Marching Contest.

Due to continued bad weather and poor driving conditions, all Frenship ISD schools are closed and all classes are canceled for Wednesday, October 28. There will be no face-to-face or Virtual Learning instruction.

The #11 Frenship Volleyball team (10-1, 5-0) battled through an unusual week playing on the road Friday, October 16 at Midland High and then followed on Saturday with a rescheduled match against Odessa High in the Tiger Pit. Following both victories Frenship climbed to #11 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association state poll.
