The Frenship Tigers (2-2, 1-0) hit the road last week, this time to Midland to open their District 2-6A slate against the Midland High Bulldogs (0-4, 0-1).

The Tiger Cross Country teams competed in the Lubbock Christian University Chap Invitational last weekend. The group of athletes dominated the competition as the JV girls came in 2nd overall, the JV boys came in 1st, the Varsity girls tied with Permian for the win, and the Varsity boys taking 3rd.

If you have driven past the FHS Ninth Grade Center, Tony De La Garza has greeted you with a smile and a wave. Tony embodies what the Frenship Way is all about.

The Frenship High School cheerleading team has a few new members this year. The group is called The Heart of Frenship and they are living up to their name by bringing school spirit to Frenship students, teachers, and fans.

At the Frenship School Board of Trustees meeting on Monday night, Lubbock National Bank and United Supermarkets were honored for their contributions and support to the students, teachers, and staff at Frenship.

Clancy Robledo is an English teacher and the campus Media Specialist at Reese Education Center. She is making it her mission to help the Reese campus grow and establish a library where Reese students can un-wind with a good book.

This year, Frenship.TV staff and student volunteers helping during football games are facing an even bigger challenge than ever before – live streaming each game. This week to celebrate Homecoming, they will also live stream the pep rally.

Homecoming and University Interscholastic League (UIL)  band competitions look a little different for the FHS marching band this year, but with new leadership and new uniforms, The Big and Bold, Blue and Gold – Pride of Frenship High School band is ready for any challenges they will face.

FHS students in Mallory Thomas’ American Sign Language 3 (ASL3) class will be signing the National Anthem during the Homecoming football game this Friday night. The class also plans on signing at each home football game.

Students in Lisa Skinner’s Principles and Elements of Floral Design and Advanced Floral Design classes are creating Homecoming mums that they will be able to don this Friday.
