In this edition of Talking with Tigers, we sit down with Frenship ISD's CTE Coordinator Ira Florez to discuss Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. She walks us through Frenship's current CTE program and what the future holds for new programs!

The Frenship Academic Decathlon Team placed first overall in their regional competition and will compete in the State Meet at the end of February.

With a 49-23 win over Odessa Permian for senior night, varsity girls basketball won the District 2 6A Championship for the seventh year in a row!

The Frenship girls wrestling team goes back-to-back winning the District Championship for the second year in a row, and the Frenship boys wrestling team came in fourth in District.

The Frenship High School DECA team won the district competition held at Lubbock Christian University over the weekend.

Frenship basketball girls won 89-34 over Odessa High and the boys beat the Bronchos 76-55.

During the month of February, designated as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, Frenship ISD is excited to recognize the highly successful CTE program that is shaping Frenship students’ futures.

On February 2, eight Frenship High School student-athletes signed their national letters of intent to continue playing sports at the collegiate level.

Frenship powerlifting both hosted and competed in the Tiger Invitational meet, which featured over 200 athletes. The boys team finished in second place overall and the girls team came in seventh.

Devon Walker, a Frenship FFA senior, was awarded the Fighting Heart Award at the Lubbock County Stock Show where donors raised $15,000 for him.
