Bio

Hello!  My name is Yvette Mesa, and I am excited to be a part of Frenship ISD as the ESL teacher and LPAC (Language Proficiency Assessment Committee) coordinator.

I am from San Marcos and graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Spanish and International Studies and have a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University.  I have taught Middle and High school Spanish in Houston, New York City, San Marcos, Lubbock, and English in Costa Rica. After living in Singapore and Saudi Arabia for 6 years where we began our family, we moved to Lubbock and have been here for the last 9 years.

My husband is from England and is a professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University.  We have two daughters:  Sierra 13 yrs. and Nicole 12 yrs. both attending Talkington School for Young Women Leaders.

As a family we love to travel, hike, cook, bake, watch movies and play board games.  The last 4 years we have explored most of the national parks within the United States and have been in awe of their spectacular beauty.

I look forward to working with you and helping you have an amazing year!
