Hello, and welcome to the Ninth Grade Center. We are so excited you are here! My name is Staci Behpour, and the first question I am always asked is "how do you say your name?", so I am happy to tell you it is no where near as hard as it looks! It is pronounced as Bay-Pour (think bay of water and pour a drink), but many of your students will call me Mrs. B.
I was born and raised here in Lubbock, Texas. I spent the year after high school serving as a missionary in Nepal and helping school age children learn English as a second language. Shortly after I returned home and attended South Plains college where I received my Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT). That was followed by attending Lubbock Christian University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in mathematics in 2020.
This is my 5th year in education and my 3rd year to be a Frenship tiger! I have been married to my amazing husband for 9 wonderful years. Together we have a rambunctious, curious, and creative storyteller of a son. He is 6 years old and everything a boy can be- truly, he is the joy of our lives! Together, we love to explore the world, spend summers at the lake and with nature, play baseball, and bowl. I enjoy crafting, reading, a good cup of coffee, and spending time with my family and friends.
Truthfully, my kiddos (son and students alike) are so dear to me. I love taking the students who say they "struggle" or "hate" math, building relationships with them, providing them opportunities to explore and break down hard concepts, and watching them have those light bulb moments of true success in the math world. I love watching them grow, overcome struggles, and become successful in an area they often never thought they could/would. It truly brings me so much joy to root them on as their teacher!
