Many people don't realize that when a new school opens its doors, it doesn't automatically come equipped with a fully stocked library. New schools typically start out with the essentials and build up it's collection with each yearly budget cycle.
Instead of waiting out the slow growth cycle at the FHS Ninth Grade Center, members of the Frenship community have taken matters into their own hands. Local donors have provided YA novels, books in other languages, and more to the Ninth Grade Center Library.
"It's so great to see our book shelves starting to really fill up," said NGC Media Specialist Tracy Carr. "Our school is really thankful for every book that comes to us, and I know the students really appreciate having more variety!" said Carr.
