Frenship ISD is excited to announce Brandon Roberson as the first Head Baseball Coach for Frenship Memorial High School. Roberson brings an incredible blend of experience, passion, and leadership to this new role and is no stranger to the Frenship Family.
Well-loved by Frenship Nation, Roberson has dedicated the last 18 years to serving as the assistant baseball coach at Frenship High School, leaving a lasting impact on generations of student-athletes. His move to Frenship Memorial marks an exciting new chapter in his coaching journey and the beginning of a brand-new athletic program.
After high school, Roberson continued his athletic and academic journey at Texas Tech University, where he played for the Red Raider Baseball Team. After college, he played professionally for three years in the Houston Astros organization, gaining valuable insight and experience that he now brings to the field as a coach.
In addition to his time as a player, Roberson also served for three years on the Texas Tech Baseball coaching staff before joining Frenship ISD. His love for the game and commitment to student success make him the perfect leader to build the baseball program at Frenship Memorial.
“The opportunity to start a new school and athletic program is very exciting,” said Roberson. “I’m most excited about working with our student-athletes and building a new athletic program from the ground up.”
Roberson is proud to be a part of the Frenship Family and credits the strong sense of community and support as one of the best parts of the district.
“My favorite parts of the Frenship Family are the kids and the people I get to work with, as well as the community support the district has,” said Roberson.
Roberson and his family are deeply rooted in the Frenship community. His wife, Jacy, serves as the principal at Oak Ridge Elementary. Together, they have two sons: Brooks, who plays baseball at Louisiana Tech University, and Barrett, a 9th grader at Frenship.
Frenship ISD is proud to have Coach Roberson leading the charge at Frenship Memorial and can’t wait to see the incredible things to come under his leadership. Welcome to Memorial High School, Coach Roberson!
