Frenship Announces Director of Finance

Frenship is happy to announce that Hunter LoCascio has been promoted from Frenship’s Coordinator of Accounting to Director of Finance. In his new role, LoCascio will be responsible for directing and managing the daily operation of all financial and business activities for the District including payroll, local and state grants, financial system administration, travel, insurance, and risk management.

“Hunter has been an invaluable member of our team for 4 years, consistently contributing to Frenship ISD with his dedication and expertise,” said Farley Reeves, Chief Financial Officer.

LoCascio shares that he is looking forward to serving in this new capacity with Frenship.

“I am very excited to advance in my career at Frenship ISD,” said LoCascio. “My goal remains the same and that is to continue being a good steward of our resources and maintaining the excellent reputation that our district has across the state. I am so thankful that the Lord has guided my steps here and I look forward to continuing to serve this district to the best of my abilities.”

When LoCascio was finishing his accounting degree at Texas Tech, a friend of his who is a Frenship Alumni told him about an open position in the Business Office at Frenship. Upon graduation, LoCascio applied and has been in the field of school business ever since. He feels grateful for the opportunities he’s had at Frenship.

“I took a chance and applied, and I am thankful that my predecessor, Lela Vela, and our CFO, Farley Reeves, were willing to take a chance on me,” said LoCascio. “I was drawn to Frenship ISD because of the reputation that the district has in the Lubbock area, and I knew it would be a culture that I would enjoy working in.”

Reeves shares that the strengths that LoCascio contributes to the team will continue to make a positive impact on Frenship.

“His accomplishments include obtaining his CTSBO TASBO Certification and completing the requirements for becoming a Certified Public Accountant, which have significantly impacted our success.  We are confident that Hunter will excel in his new role and continue to elevate our team,” said Reeves.

LoCascio has enjoyed the close-knit atmosphere and community he has found at Frenship.

“What I love about the Frenship family is that when we say family, we mean it and I am incredibly thankful for our Business Office family that I get to work with every day.  I was raised in Idalou, so I am used to a small-town family atmosphere, and I’ve been blown away at how Frenship has that same level of community, just to a larger degree."

Congratulations, Hunter LoCascio!
