Frenship Track Blazes through Lubbock ISD Invitational and District Meet with Record-Breaking Performances

The Frenship Tiger Track and Field Teams have been leaving competitors in the dust with record-breaking strides. Last week at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on April 3-4, the Tigers were named Champions across all four teams, Varsity Girls, Junior Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, and Junior Varsity Boys.  

The total team score for the Varsity Girls was 192, which was 75 more points than second place Midland Legacy. The Varsity Boys Team total came out to 174.5, which was 44.5 more points than second place Amarillo High.  

There were multiple notable records broken, one including senior Reagan Roberts for breaking the 1982 school discus record with a throw of 138'6".  

At the Lubbock Invitational the Varsity Boys had three 1st places, eight 2nd places, and five 3rd places. The Varsity Girls had eight 1st places, eight 2nd places, and three 3rd places.  

It was a very successful meet for the Tigers at the Lubbock ISD Invitational. The Tigers kept up the energy at the District 2 6-A Meet this week. The Varsity Girls, JV Girls, and JV Boys track and field teams all secured the District Championship titles. 

The total team score for the Varsity Girls was 208, which was 43 more points than second place Midland Legacy. The Varsity Boys Team total 140 points, just 12 points shy of the District title. 

There were several school records broken at the District Meet as well. Stay tuned at the end of the season for a full recap of all new school records.
