Business Professionals of America (BPA) is the leading Career and Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology, and other related career fields.   

The Regional Leadership Conference was held on Saturday, January 13th at Frenship High School. Over 100 students converged to compete in around 20 different contests, from Graphic Design Promotion to Job Interview and from Fundamental Accounting to Entrepreneurship.  

Frenship High School BOA Sponsor, Deanna Luning, stated that students who wish to expand their business knowledge and presentation skills should join BPA and that competing in it looks great on college applications and resumes. 

“They are able to compete in such a wide variety of Business-related topics against students from other schools and areas of Texas; gaining leadership skills; implementing time management skills; learning to be professional not only in presenting oneself but in appearance; opportunities for community service awards and scholarships.”  

All Frenship students who competed at the regional contest advanced to the State Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, held on February 28th through March 2nd.  

In addition to competition, the Frenship BPA gets involved in community service projects. They recently raised over $200 during their Dots for Dollars campaign to raise money for the Special Olympics.
