The Tigers had a promising start to non-district play during the tournament, dominating the court in every game including the championship matches against Midland High. With an impressive showing, several Tigers also secured several tournament awards.
Hadley Welch was named Tournament MVP with 60 kills, 14 aces, and seven blocks. Olivia Whitfield wrapped up the tournament with 20 kills, 17 aces, and 153 assists to win Tournament Outstanding Setter, and Jaycee Garza came in as Tournament Outstanding Defender with eight aces and 92 digs. Lauren Villegas was named to the All-Tournament Team with 27 kills and 11 blocks. Also of note, Bliss Dane came in with 41 kills, nine aces, and six blocks.
