50 Frenship High School DECA Students Advance to State Finals

Competing against schools from around the region, Frenship secured their spot at the state contest with their win at the district level. The competition included role plays concerning real life business situations, research papers, business, marketing and finance testing as well as presentations.

Out of the fifty-one students who competed, fifty will advance to the state competition in Dallas, Texas. The state competition will take place at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas March 9-11 where over 4,800 students and advisors will compete to advance to ICDC, the national DECA competition. This year the national competition will be in Orlando Florida in April.

The DECA program at FHS prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Last year, more than 40 students qualified for the state competition with one student advancing the national competition.

Frenship DECA continues its history of success and looks forward to making the Frenship school district proud.
