Frenship Softball Dominates in Germblast First Pitch Classic Tournament

Frenship took on Caprock, Randall, El Paso El Dorado, Monterey, Canyon, and Amarillo High, going 5-1, losing only to Monterey on Friday.
 
"I was pleased with the way we played," Frenship Softball Head Coach Robby Dickenson said. "Overall this season we are 7-1."

Dickenson said that he and his team are really utilizing these early games and tournaments as opportunities to work out kinks.
 
"I am replacing three seniors from last year," Dickenson said. "I have seven seniors, three juniors, and one sophomore from last year's team."
 
This year Dickenson said the team motto is "Burn the Boats," meaning his team is up for the challenge that when faced with the choice to sink or swim that they swim.
 
"We are looking forward to a really good year," Dickenson said. "We have a great group of girls, not only on the field, but also in the classroom - they excel at both!"
 
The Tigers were set to play in the Brittany Tuck Tournament in Dripping Springs this weekend, but the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather.
 
The Tigers will be back out on the mound on Tuesday, March 1 in another pre-District match up against Monterey at Monterey.
