Frenship High School Seniors Receive Willow Bend Scholarship

These year’s recipients included Keren Nunez, Lucas Adams, and Mark Dannemiller, who was unable to receive his scholarship in person.

Willow Bend Principal Jennifer Pierce presented the scholarships to the students as they reminisced on their time at Willow Bend. Pierce talked about how the scholarship is made possible by the hard work and fundraising by the Willow Bend Student Council, students, and staff throughout the school year.

“To be able to give back, and to show our students that we are able to give back to further someone else’s education is always a great thing,” Pierce said. “We are growing lifelong learners at Frenship, and it is such a gift to be able to give back to past Willow Bend students.”

Nunez said she is grateful to Willow Bend and her time spent there.

“I just want to thank Willow Bend for this opportunity,” Nunez said. “Every little bit helps, and I am just so thankful.”

Nunez said after graduation she will be attending Texas Tech University where she plans on majoring in Biological Chemistry. Adams said he will attend Texas Tech as well where he will study Civil Engineering.
