The girls finished in third place, behind Odessa Permian and Midland Lee who are both advancing to the Regional tournament. Frenship's Lainey Cristan individually shot 78-77 to finish as the District Runner-up. Cristan will be heading to the Regional Golf Tournament at the Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie on April 19 and 20. 
Head Frenship Girls Golf Coach Roger Whipkey said the team was down 15 shots going into the last day of the District Tournament but played their best round of the year and make it close at the end.
"I am so proud of the girls for the way they played on the last day," Whipkey said. "We had a chance to advance to regionals and just come up a little short."
