Boys Basketball Looks to Finish Strong on the Road

Tiger Basketball went on the road on Monday, February 10 to face Midland High in a game moved up for weather. The Tigers left the Tall City with an 80-51 victory over the Bulldogs. Noble Robinson led the way with 21 points, Devin Hartfield knocked down 12, and Jeb Smallwood chipped in another 10. Smallwood led the way with 7 rebounds and Donovan Smith had 6.

The Tigers headed home for Senior Night Friday and a rematch against the Odessa Permian Panthers. Frenship struggled to contend with Permian’s fast-break offense and was stymied by their aggressive defensive play. The Tigers fell 59-32 and will head to Midland to close the season against Midland Lee on Tuesday evening. That game will be broadcast on Double T 97.3 at 7:30pm and on their mobile app with Chois Woodman on the call.

Frenship (24-8, 5-4) has clinched their 4th consecutive playoff berth and information about that opponent will be forthcoming. You can keep up with Frenship Athletics on Twitter @FrenshipSports and with Boys Basketball @BoysFrenship.
