The Frenship softball team wrapped up non-district play with two more impressive victories during spring break week.
It started Thursday afternoon when the Tiger offense piled up 16 hits and blasted three home runs in a 13-5 rout of Abilene Cooper. The power of the long ball came courtesy of Torrey Hogan, Kyla Merritt and Qo’be Harvest.
Hogan finished the day 3-for-5 with 4 runs batted in. She along with Erin Boles, Alyssa Rundell, Harvest, Caroline Kerr and Claudia Kerr all managed multiple hits.
Maya Mongelli was the winning pitcher for after pitching a complete game and striking out three.
On Friday, Hogan threw a complete-game shutout and struck out ten Lady Pirate batters in a 6-0 Tiger win. Caroline Kerr provided the offense for FHS by going 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three runs batted in. Angelica Abila added two hits as part of the Tigers 10-hit performance.
FHS sits with a record of 17-6 on the season. They begin District 2-6A play this week hosting Odessa Permian Tuesday night at 6:30.
