Tiger Baseball Splits Two District Games

The Tiger baseball team spent spring break on the diamond and came away with a two-game split in District 2-6A action.

On Thursday, FHS traveled to Odessa where senior pitcher Colton Brown pitched a complete game, struck out five and only allowed five hits in a 3-2 Tiger win. FHS took the lead with two runs in the third inning and added a run in the fifth. Caeden Jenkins led the Tigers at the plate with a 3-for-3 performance.

On Saturday, FHS watched the game slip away early as Midland Lee scored four runs in the first inning and beat the Tigers 6-1. Colton Brown led the team with two hits in three at bats.

The Tigers are now 13-5 on the season and 2-1 in district play. They return to the diamond Tuesday night when they host Midland high. It’s a 7:00 p.m. first pitch from the Tiger Baseball Complex. The team is on the road Friday at Odessa Permian.
